EXCITING UPDATE
Hi friends! It has been a little while since I last addressed you and I have some exciting news! The last couple months I have been absent here because I have been busy educating myself on social justice and studying for the CA Real Estate Exam. It was a longer road that I expected due to pandemic delays but I am so excited to announce that I passed the California Real Estate Exam! I also just recently signed with a kick-ass broker, Keller Williams Beverly Hills and I couldn’t be more excited about my new career path.
When I tell people about my new career move, one of the first things they ask me is why real estate? To put it simply, I have always loved the real estate market and I would love nothing more than to help my future clients make their home ownership dreams come true.
Hey, I know what some of you are thinking because I’ve heard it before…“That’s awesome Kat, I know you’re going to be great, but why now in these uncertain times?” My answer is this: I’m not going to let an uncertain economic environment dictate my career moves when the reality is, no matter where the housing market is (high or low), people have to live somewhere. In my eyes, that concept, coupled with my ambition and tenacity, make it the perfect time for me to start. The way I see it, if and when I succeed in this current dark time, I know that I will be that much stronger and versatile for it in the future.
And the last question/comment I get is. “WOAH, Beverly Hills?! That’s incredible, I unfortunately don’t think I can afford to live in Beverly Hills…” Yes, I’m working for Keller Williams Beverly Hills, but do I only help buy, sell or lease properties in Beverly Hills? No way! As a Los Angeles native, I am very familiar with many of the neighborhoods in the greater Los Angeles area and actually I will be concentrating on the Culver City area. The best part, if I’m not completely knowledgeable about a specific neighborhood, I put in the work to familiarize myself and have a team of Realtors on my side who do know first hand. So, don’t hesitate to reach out with any real estate related questions you may have.
I can’t wait to start mixing in my real estate market knowledge with the regular blog content. Expect to see things like market updates, neighborhood information, financial resources and much more!
I am so excited to start this journey, especially with you all by my side! If anyone has any questions or wants to know more, don’t be shy, reach out!
And now on to this week’s challenge.
WEEKLY CHALLENGE
This week I want to focus on getting active. Since I have started my new role as a Realtor, my schedule has changed drastically. I no longer have the luxury of getting my working done at odd times during the day, so my workout routine has pretty much ceased. This week I want to focus on getting to bed early and getting a workout or some type of movement done first thing in the morning.
I love to start my day off on the right foot and getting my move on first thing is the way to do it. It might be tough getting up earlier, but I’m really looking forward to the productivity boost I will ultimately get from the endorphins. I know it will take me a good two weeks to start a new habit, and the best way to stay on track is to do it with friends or family.
And on that note, who’s with me?! Let me know below in the comments!
